Our client, a market leader based in West London / Surrey has the opportunity for a Tableau Consultant on an initial 6 month contract. The full spec is below but the client needs someone with significant Tableau experience in a commercial environment. This includes Tableau Server administration and also someone who is comfortable developing SQL-based reports. A nice-to-have would be a candidate who also has some experience working in database development.
Job purpose:
Design and maintenance of a range of reports and visualisations using Tableau and Excel. Engage with and support senior stakeholders, gathering requirements for report development. Assist with maintenance of a SQL Server database, and development of additional SQL reports through SSMS.
Candidate specification:
Required knowledge, experience and technical skills
·Strong academic background, ideally with a Computer Science or IT degree/qualification, similar Analytical discipline or equivalent experience
·Minimum 3 years' relevant experience developing reports on Tableau Desktop
·Tableau Server administration experience
·Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in SQL Server
·Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques used in end-to-end analytical model design and development
·Experienced use of BI tools (Tableau and Excel) in a commercial environment
·Experience of data mining, preparation and manipulation across multiple disparate systems
