The person works closely with the Scientific Curators, Clinical Geneticists and Bioinformaticians within the company to deliver curation requirements to deadlines and interact with experts across the UK and internationally.
Developing the curation strategy and road map

Requirements
Expertise in scientific curation
BSc or higher in genetics, biological sciences or equivalent, and an in-depth understanding of genetic variation and genomics.
Experience in the curation of scientific knowledge for the interpretation of human genomes.
Solid biocuration experience, with a strong background in genetics and human disease based on careful evidence assessment
Extensive experience mapping genetic variants to reference sequences and standardised variant nomenclature.
Good understanding of terminologies, ontologies and standards used in genomic medicine and biocuration
Ability to prepare reports and publications.
In depth experience writing and reviewing scientific literature, experimental procedures.
Deep knowledge of other population scale genome sequencing, biocuration guidelines and initiatives
Experience of using genetic and disease-based databases.
Working knowledge of clinical genetics guidelines such as those from ESHG, ACGS, ACMG, AMP, etc
Obsessive attention to detail.
Strong customer-service orientation and proven experience in partnership working with customers
