Customer Engineering Service Engineers - Cambridge
Are you an experienced Service Engineer with a background in Industrial Gas Operations looking to join a global leader in atmospheric and process gas solutions to major manufacturing markets?
We are seeking 2 Customer Service Engineers based in Cambridge and Gloucester to join a dynamic team responsible for activities to include preventative maintenance, repair, installation and some design of control and instrumentation systems. You will also be part of a support team for Customer Engineering focused projects, installations and commissioning activities.
Key accountabilities for the roles will include:
Ensuring Safe Operation and Legal Compliance of the sites.
Ensuring All Legal Inspections are carried out before the Due Date, using SAP as the planning tool.
Respond to unplanned Maintenance in a timely manner
Maintain documentation both written and electronic
Provide support for UK&I Customer Engineering Customers & IG Operations, equipment would include but not limited to the following: -
Process plant instrumentation of various types (e.g. pressure, temperature, flow, level, measurement, Gas detection.
Shutdown systems.
Controls systems such as PLC
Analysers of various types.
Control and switching valves of various types.
Pneumatic Control Systems.
Instrumentation in ATEX Zone Areas, to include protection methods for EExd and EEXia systems.
Diagnostic tools- multi meters.

This is a field based role whereby you will have excellent Customer facing/interpersonal skills combined with a minimum of 2-5 years experience in a service/installation role. You will be required to work as part of a call-out rota and whilst on call be prepared to respond to Customer requests 24/7 and occasionally be required to travel further afield. A working knowledge of PLC controlled systems (fault finding and remote integration) is essential, along with a background and working knowledge of the Industrial Gas / Oil Industry. Experience of working on Pressurised systems in compliance with PSSR 2000 legislation is also key.
