Support Engineer

Location: Zaventem
Contract duration: 1 year
Required languages: English only

For one of our clients, specialised in the automotive sector, we are now looking for a First Line Support Engineer profile to start as soon as possible.
The customer has a real a start-up mind-set and promotes work autonomy and evolution perspectives.

What will be your main responsibilities?

  • Respond to incoming inquiries and requests from customers and manage progress until closure

  • Checking system infrastructure and services and troubleshooting where necessary

  • Documentation and escalation to 2nd line support team where necessary in all activities

  • Management of user accounts and access policies

  • Announcements to users

  • Correspondence for emergency troubleshoot and high-priority requests - attend out-of-hours call-out where necessary

  • Documentation and information management

  • Management of IT information (inventory of hardware, software, licenses…)

  • Creating and updating of internal operation documents and flow charts

  • Analyse the current situation and identify gaps and best practice improvements


Your profile:

  • You have an IT degree

  • You are fluent in English

  • You are comfortable with dealing onsite (face to face) troubleshooting

  • You have experience in working for large multicultural international environments

  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and analytical skills

  • Passionate about IT and new technologies

  • Excellent communication skills - with end-users and IT team

  • Aptitude to work both in a team and individually

  • Proactive approach to gaps and problem identification


Mandatory technical skills:

  • Administration of Microsoft Office 365 environment

  • Good knowledge about network

  • End-users environment support:

  • Windows 10, MacOS, MS Office suite, printers, mobile phone, tablet

  • Desktop support - PC hardware and software, installations and maintenance

  • Support of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)

  • Administration of Active Directory

  • Windows Server 2012R2 and 2008R2 - server monitoring, maintenance, and backups

  • Networking concepts and troubleshooting capabilities

  • Analysis and documentation of IT processes, workflows, and manuals
