The Nurse Advisor will lead and educates fellow nurses and builds expert knowledge within the nursing community to ensure that the company products are used appropriately.
The Nurse Advisor will also develop strong relationships with nurses and nursing groups to ensure understanding of patient needs and the needs of healthcare systems.
The position reports to the National Medical Lead and supports health professionals in North UK region.
Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and organise non-promotional workshops educating fellow nurses on IV products. 2.Identify and train new external Nurse Experts trainers in target Therapeutic Areas.

  2. Lead and organise Nurse Advisory Boards, where appropriate.

  3. Reactively and proactively identify initiatives to improve the treatment of iron deficiency, establish local understanding/evidence, improve current clinical practices and improve the treatment of iron deficiency, working with the wider business to make these happen, after management approval.

  4. Identify, share and advance optimal therapy practices and co-develop nurse and patient support tools and materials with identified Nurse Experts.

  5. Provide internal training and support to the wider business, including the sales and marketing team.

  6. Ensure internal SOP's and processes are followed, including those around pharmacovigilance and company standards regarding the reporting and quality monitoring of activities.

Professional background:

  • Qualified, registered nurse (RGN or equivalent), with good working knowledge of infusion medicine.

  • Knowledge of nephrology, gastroenterology, obstetrics and gynaecology, patient blood management, surgical enhanced recovery or haematology an advantage, experience in iron deficiency an advantage but not necessary.

  • Previous experience working for a pharmaceutical company essential. Nurse band: 5 or higher with a good understanding of the ABPI Code of Practice.

  • The individual would require a strong drive and self-motivation to help establish and improve best practices in iron deficiency care.


Geography and travels:

  • The Nurse Advisor is part of the medical team covering the North Region.

  • Extensive travelling is required: Travel by car, train and flight. To be fully able to support busy healthcare professionals, workshops may often be booked with short notice, so ability and flexibility to travel and be adaptable is an absolute must.

  • A Driver's license is required.
