Crucial experience includes having a proven record of delivering sustainable improvements in Safety, PPM, Waste Reduction and Plant Performance. Those candidates with experience using Heller CNC machining and engine test facilities or similar manufacturing equipment will have a distinct advantage.

The ideal Maintenance Technician will also have expertise in PLC's, robotics within machining (ABB assembly handling), hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems and process control software.

Key aspects of this role include:

  • The delivery of fast, effective electrical and mechanical fault finding by investigating the root cause of failures and put corrective measures into action

  • Ensuring production systems are working effectively

  • Actively managing safety issues and filtering communication and action points throughout the business

  • The maximisation of the in-house engineering skills in order to facilitate Electrical / Fabrication /Mechanical modifications

  • Create and maintain maintenance records

  • Applying 5S principles to keep all engineering working areas clean and tidy

  • Promote knowledge sharing

  • Ability to identify / implement relative improvement projects

  • Create / maintain spares inventory's and maximise the spare parts stores

  • Confident in providing telephone assistance as required

  • Offer investment and development project assistance where appropriate

  • Daily operational support to Managers

  • Carry out routine inspections and testing on plant operating systems

  • Evaluation of stock requirements further advising on future requirements working with Suppliers efficiently

  • Identify training requirements in order to achieve continuous personal development

  • Willing to work a 3 shift system and be flexible to work weekends when required
