This is an exciting opportunity for embedded C++ software engineers with technical leadership experience.
Responsibilities:
*Designing new test equipment software solutions and incorporating new requirements into existing solutions;
*Development of test equipment software to production standards complying with all regulatory and safety requirements;
*Responsible for the full software life cycle - from initial requirements through to formal software release and support;
*Provide technical guidance and leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project;
*Mentor junior / less experienced engineers;
*Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned project and/or tasks in line with engineering policies and procedures.
Requirements:
*Extensive embedded C++ software development experience;
*Software Architectural Design experience;
*Must be willing to learn new programming languages, including National Instruments CVI;
*Technical leadership experience;
*Experience with configuration / change management tools;
*Debugging/fault finding;
*Hardware / Software integration experience;
*Experience working on engineering initiatives within the wider engineering business.
Nice to have:
*Experience of using non speciality language for software development, either C++ or C#;
*Experience of using National Instruments Test Stand and/or CVI for software development;
*Agile Software Development - e.g. Sprint planning, Scrum, Retrospective etc.
