HR Manager - Newcastle - Fixed Term Contract

My client, one of the largest providers of integrated oilfield products, services and digital solutions, is currently looking for a HR Manager to join on a FTC basis for 12 month during a period of maternity cover. In this role, you will be the primary HR point of contact for management and employees. You will provide expertise and guidance in all HR processes such as performance management, engagement, assessment, reward / recognition, retention planning and disciplinary / grievances.

Key Job Responsibilities for this position include:
*Partner with client managers to develop and execute both long-term and short-term HR strategies that directly support and enable business objectives
*Provide strategic coaching to people leaders related to talent identification and selection, succession planning, merit planning and performance management
*Promote internal mobility and support external recruiting where required
*Work with leaders and employees to create a positive and contemporary work environment that respects every employee
*Manage grievances and disciplinaries as well as compliance investigations
*Partner effectively with our HR Centres of excellence in People Operations, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition and OT&D

Required Qualifications and Experience:
*Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in related area or similar with relevant experience.
*Proven experience as a HR senior generalist supporting a diverse client group
*Demonstrated experience in making sound HR decisions & assessing employee talent
*Ability to work in changing environments, see through complexity and strategically promote an inclusive / diverse workforce
*Confidence to voice opinions & ideas and willingness to deliver tough feedback / coaching to leadership


The ideal candidate must be highly proactive and results focused with the ability to influence others within the team. Someone with strong analytical and problem-solving skills would be preferable.
