My client, a major technology company are looking for an experienced Event Planner who is willing to work some nights and weekends if needed. (should not work more than a 40 hour week)


Responsibilities:

·Ability to pre-plan and execute event logistics (including working with event owners on set-up specifications, catering and any additional needs)
·Manage relationships with external communities and develop curated events​ and partnerships.
·Event execution (from A-Z). As well as managing event coordinators, you're happy to roll-up your sleeves to support events, especially when we have multiple things happening at any one time.
·Manage key relationships with the program's stakeholders​.
·Highly organised with a keen eye for detail, ready to design, organise and manage inter-connected projects​.
·Build connections internally and externally whilst leveraging other key initiatives to maximise impact. ​
·Ability to work across all levels within the organisation from vendor staff to executive management.
·Drive for results - working closely with the Program Manager, you will have broad responsibility ranging from strategic thinking to tactical planning for local operations and execution.
·Independent judgement and decision-making. Your success will require you to exercise these competencies and to be willing to be held accountable for success and results.
Planning, Organising, and Executing - you should enjoy and be effective while running multiple work streams with different cadences and stakeholders. ​

· Experience required
Ability and desire to work with event owners to ensure all details of events are accounted for
A demonstrated interest in technology, start-ups, and corporate innovation (at least 2 years' experience)
Thorough understanding of project/program/event management techniques and methods​
Detail oriented, fast learner, independent ​and a natural problem solver
Strong leadership and organisational skills​
Ability to work flexibly - some events make take place in the evening or at weekends, flexibility of hours is required
·Key performance measurements
·Degrees or certifications required:
BSc/BA diploma in management or a relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus​

Excellent communication skills
Team player with great interpersonal skills ​
