Senior DevOps Engineer

My client, a leading provider of DevOps, Cloud and complex software solutions has an exciting opportunity for a senior DevOps Engineer to implement and transform the DevOps environment for a UK-wide organisation.

Working hand-in-hand with the customer team you will play a key role in providing a robust, automated and scalable delivery platform for the development and delivery of Cloud Services.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You will have a proven record in designing, building, deploying and managing platforms. A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment with the ability to guide and advise customer teams as to best approach utilising your knowledge of the DevOps landscape and applying to the business requirements.


ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Assist with the creation and implementation of an effective DevOps solution for a nationally registered charity focused on improving the quality of life for thousands of people

  • Play a key role in creating a highly scalable, reliable cloud platform to serve existing and future business needs

  • Bring in new ideas, whether it's a new tool or technology that will help innovate

  • Automate processes to increase efficiency wherever possible

  • Maintain and build deployment software and tools (CircleCI, Spinnaker, Terraform)


TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Extensive OpenShift experience

  • Proven record in creating and implementing DevOps solutions using industry recognised DevOps tools such as Kubernetes and Docker

  • Continuous integration and delivery tools such as Jenkins, Packer, Twistlock

  • Detailed Amazon Web Services (AWS) knowledge and APIs

  • Understanding of Linux environments
