We are looking for an experienced Hadoop developer to produce high quality code while liaising with internal and external parties to determine platform requirements.
The ideal candidate will have degree in a discipline such as computer science, physics or mathematics and some experience working in bioinformatics.
Requirements:

Experience with Hadoop technologies (HBase, Hive)

Experience with distributed systems

Proven track record of developing high quality applications/systems with web services

Experience NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Apache Solr. Extensive experience with Java development (Maven, Tomcat,). Exposure to Python, HTML, JavaScript and CSS

Competent at assigning APIs, and working with RESTful APIs

Solid exposure to Linux, Git, Postgres (or similar)
