BMS Engineer - £50,000, South London

My client, an award-winning property maintenance provider, which specialises in gas & electrical installation as well as maintenance solutions to private/local authority domestic, commercial and industrial properties is looking for a BMS Engineer with experience of working with Trend IQ Vision.

This role will entail taking on full management responsibilities of bespoke BMS projects (with a wide range of values). You will be required to manage projects from point of sale through to hand-over, taking on technical design responsibilities, producing description of operations and progress reports, whilst liaising with clients and other key stake holders. You will be tasked with ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget whilst maintaining quality.


Key Job Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Working knowledge of heating system configurations (HWS & heating pipework configurations including LTHW and MTHW, underfloor heating, air source heating & cooling, ground source heating and cooling & duct work configurations).

  • Trend "963 Head End" Install, Set-up, graphic installs and Commissioning.

  • Plant room surveys.

  • Dealing with client concerns (Before, during and after installations).

  • Advising Clients of Telephone, ADSL requirements as well as Firewall and port issues. ADSL setup

  • (Knowledge of Virgin Media &BT line installation to boiler rooms, plant rooms etc.). Also understanding GPRS/GSM & Failover solutions.

  • Control panel design, building, panel layout and wiring.

  • On site panel modifications, including panel testing (on and off site)

  • BMS system design. Strategy writing (Trend and Honeywell) including on site strategy modification.

  • Point to Point testing and commissioning (Trend and Honeywell).

  • Graphic backdrop design (Trend and Honeywell).

  • Working with 3rd party system integration (AMX, Crestron, Control 4, Mitsubishi, Dakin, Synapsys) to design bespoke interfacing to meet the customer`s needs.
