An opportunity to join a global market leader in the Articulated Truck sector.

Initial 6 month contract with the potential to extend within the Aftermarket Parts / Lifecycle arena.

You will play a key role in driving initiatives to support parts and service growth through product lifecycle for Aftermarket.

As a Life Cycle Engineer, you will lead cross functional teams with responsibility for helping drive processes to protect and improve aftermarket parts OPACC for legacy products, current products and New Product Introduction.

Job Description:

  • Engage with large NPI (New Product Introduction) or product deletion projects to ensure aftermarket growth and deliverables are met on time and are aligned with the product strategy (branding, intellectual property / supplier agreements, service level, design for aftermarket, repair and overhaul)

  • Impact existing processes and develop new repair options that drive parts sales, leading and influencing major initiatives to set direction for parts growth.

  • Create total ownership cost models and producing revenue improvement analysis to support Aftermarket OPACC-C growth.

  • Implement new or improve existing solutions and processes, using key metrics to drive parts revenue and percentage of parts sales (POPS) growth.

  • Manage machine Down orders, developing ICA's (addressing immediate need for the part), and PCA's to ensure we set and meet targets for part availability.



Qualifications:

  • The position typically requires a college or university degree or equivalent experience in an Aftermarket environment.

  • Must have the ability to learn and do statistical analysis and have good computer skills.

  • Prior team leader experience is a plus.


Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to lead by influence and communicate at all levels of the organisation.

  • Extensive knowledge of aftermarket parts, systems and processes, NPI, product deletion, aftermarket cost and pricing, brand, design change, service, repair and overhaul solutions.

  • Self-starter with excellent time management, organisation, prioritisation and change management skills.

  • Life Cycle Product Management experience gained in an Aftermarket Spare Parts and/or service environment.

  • Some knowledge of parts marketing, sales functionality and systems (LOGNET) would be advantageous.

  • Excellent project management skills, able to work across functions such as Product Development, Engineering, Quality, Supply chain, Manufacturing, Aftermarket, and Operations.

  • Must be able to cultivate an extensive knowledge of Articulated Trucks, aftermarket systems, processes, service and repair and overhaul solutions.
