Unique opportunity to join a thriving communication group focus in medical communications activities and medical education.

A Team lead/ Senior Editor, will support the delivery of materials that are compliant, accurate and meet high standards. Also the Team lead/ Senior Editor should be able to mentor and train junior members of the Central Editorial Team (CET)

Main tasks and responsibilities:

*Along with delivery, provides training and advice on a range of editorial services
*Quality Control (QC)/editing:
oQC/editing tasks to ensure clarity of meaning, accuracy of content, correct spelling and use of grammar, consistency of style and format
oWorks independently and assists in training junior members of the CET in QC-related tasks
oAssists in reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of the work of junior/new members of the CET
oParticipates in knowledge sharing (eg writing weekly Group tips)
*PowerPoint (PPT):
oAlong with high-quality delivery of all types of PPT projects and tasks, provides bespoke PPT training for the whole Group and participates in knowledge sharing
*Project management and adherence to process
*Budgeting and scheduling:
oProvides estimated timings for budget development and reviews relevant budgets/timelines for teams alongside the Principal Editor (PEd)/Central Editorial Team Leader (CETL)
oWorks within budgeted times/demonstrates knowledge of budget requirements/timelines
*Developing relationships:
oEd/Senior Editor (SrEd) are the main points of contact for project-related emails received in the team and manage responses, accordingly, acknowledging that most interactions will be with internal colleagues rather than external clients
oEd/SrEd usually represent CET at internal kick-off/debrief/other meetings
oEngender/cement effective working relationships in the CET and with all internal/external colleagues ensuring that each member of the team is taking the required level of responsibility for their role
*Line management, mentoring and coaching:
*Knowledge of medical communications:
oHas broad experience in medical communications/a relevant agency/industry
*Compliance, advise other members of the CET as necessary
*Business Development:May be required to assist with proposal/pitch development
*Resourcing: Overseeing work schedules and resource planning as required


Qualifications and Experience:
*Degree in a relevant subject (eg English, BSc) and proficiency in Microsoft Office (in particular Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
*At least 4 years in an editorial role in a medical communications agency or another relevant agency/industry
