Responsibilities:
*Participation in the generation of design specifications and requirements capture;
*Identify new applications and opportunities for test and calibration instruments;
*Developing customer solutions;
*Provide applications knowledge and mentoring to other members of the cross functional teams;
*Produce White Papers and application notes;
*High standard of documentation for evidence of conformity and technical explanation;
*Excellent written and verbal communication;
*Ability to work across continents with remote engineering and sales teams;
*Globally supporting external customers, service, internal sales and marketing functions;
*Continually develop and advance internal operating procedures;
*Development and delivery of product training to customers, channel partners and global sales teams.
Requirements:
*Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline;
*Knowledge of test and calibration methods and practices;
*Experience of working with Electronic instrumentation in either a development, technical support or calibration environment;
*Strong time management skills. Some international travel is likely as part of the role;
*Working knowledge of Microsoft Software packages (Word, Excel, Power point etc);
*Proven ability to work to deadlines and respond effectively to demanding customer requests;
*Demonstrate excellent communication skills with customers and team members.
Desired Characteristics:
*Knowledge of Calibration and/or asset management software solutions;
*Debugging IEEE488 and serial interfaces;
*HART / Foundation Fieldbus / Profibus;
*Labview;
*Knowledge and experience of SAP.
