VOLT Engineering Europe are working with our client, a leading global organisation to recruit an innovative electronic engine application engineer.

This is an initial 6 month role based in Cambridgeshire and offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting edge projects within a highly focused delivery lead team.

The role demands an ability to efficiently work on a multitude of different projects, developing software to achieve both regulatory compliance and successfully meeting the clients expectations.

It is essential that the engineer has acquired in depth skills and aptitude in the following areas and is able to:

  • Define the functional requirements of the engine electronic application features

  • Coordinate with software developers to develop the relative application features

  • Define verification plans, perform and document the verification results

  • Provide technical support to queries related to functionality

  • Investigate /Analyse / troubleshoot / resolve any reported quality issues.

  • Raise and propose changes or improvements to related development processes.

  • Review and support technical publications, ensuring that technical contents are relevant and correct.

  • Participate in, and maintain, related FMEA elements


In addition, those applicants with the following will be highly desired:

  • Off-highway Electronic control system development experience (or comparable experience with automotive, marine or military vehicle control systems)

  • Requirements management

  • dSpace control desk and automation desk

  • Python programming language

  • Vector CANape and CANalyzer experience

  • FMEA facilitator or Team Lead experience
